Sadie Steele: first girl, fourth child. Born on a sunny day in the middle of a pandemic. Lucky for me we're family, so I got to meet her and make some photographs of her and her mama. Alia is a photographer too, so my goal during our shoot was to get Alia in every photo, since it's rare for moms to get in front of the camera, and even more rare when shooting photos of others is literally your job. I love that I'll get to see Sadie grow year by year – so thankful she made it to our world safe and sound.
